Integrity is the essence of LINEAR

“In the LINEAR group, McCobb has created a kind of lithe luxury look! Proportion … a superb sense of scale … sets the tone. Each piece, alone or in combination, has an inner harmony because the relationship of all three dimensions approaches perfection. The silvery pewter-finish hardware echoes the horizontal line, serves—along with the slender pilasters at the sides—as an accent to the deep finish of American walnut. There are some 30 pieces from which to choose. Each serves a specific function, and each is space-engineered to organize your storage, accommodate your seating and dining needs. LINEAR, you’ll find, is functional furniture of enduring contemporary design.”

Charley Harper on NewsRadio

Charley Harper on NewsRadio, originally uploaded by Jeff Rickard.

Before Charlie Sheen began his reign as Charlie Harper on CBS’ “Two and a Half Men,” the original Charley Harper appeared on NBC’s “NewsRadio,” albeit in a very minor role. I happened to spot two of Harper’s prints on a wall outside the elevator on the 14th floor—the floor above New York’s No. 2 Radio Station—where an environmental advocacy agency was too loud and disturbing the gang below. Obviously, the set-dressers found Harper’s posters—designed for U.S. Department of the Interior/National Parks—to be the perfect way to set the scene.

As you can (barely) see from the screengrabs, the scene features Harper’s “The Alpine Northwest” and “The Desert.”

The grabs were taken from Episode 19 of Season 3 entitled “The Feud.” To be sure, hijinks ensued.
